Dorridge Village Hall Association

Dorridge Village Hall in Summer

Dorridge Village Hall was built in 1975 from donations and grants from Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council who still retain the freehold for this site. On 22 April 1977 Dorridge Village Hall Association (DVHA) was formed and became a registered charity (506221). This Association was set up to maintain, develop and manage the Hall and promote it for the benefit of the residents of Dorridge and the surrounding area by fostering a community spirit. DVHA has its own constitution and is run by a committee of voluntary (unpaid) officers and user representatives.

The association is controlled by the Management Committee, elected from the members, and run on a day-to-day basis by a small executive group of the elected Honorary Officers. The Association employs third party organisations to run the bar, to carry out regular cleaning and other tasks including waste disposal.
